River Clean-up

With our continued tradition, Great Falls Foundation is pleased to host our 3rd Annual Potomac River Clean-Up Day! As with every year, we want to get together as a community in celebration of Earth Day, to celebrate not just our favorite river, but our entire home and do a little tidying up! It’s ever important that we come together to help restore our favorite playground to the pristine condition it should be in. Every piece of trash removed is one less in the river that you don’t have to pluck out when you’re paddling! Plus what’s not to like about spending a few hours on a fine spring day to root through the woods and rocks to clean them of garbage?

Don’t worry about bringing anything but yourselves — we will provide gloves and trash bags! Maybe even a few extender grabbers to reach those tough spots too 🙂
But wait, there’s more! The Great Falls Foundation also will provide snacks and drinks. All we ask for is your time, sweat, and hopefully no tears, so we can help with the continued restoration of our home river.
